The LU800 is LiveU’s breakthrough all-in-one production-level field unit, designed for live news and dynamic sports coverage. Multi-camera production and superior video and audio capabilities are combined with mission-critical transmission in a native 5G unit.

Unlimited Coverage

The LU800’s multi-camera capabilities let you enrich your Remote At-Home Production (REMI) setups. Up to four high-res, fully frame-synced feeds are supported from a single portable unit, using powerful IP bonding of up to 14 connections. In bandwidth-challenged locations, users can send only one high-quality feed and switch from the unit or the remote studio.

Taking remote production to the next level, the LU800 also allows remote control of any IP-based equipment. Field-station communication is enhanced with two bi-directional audio channels, as well as Video Return and Tally Light.

Designed from the ground up to unlock 5G potential, the LU800 delivers unparalleled quality of service and resiliency. The unit offers superior 5G performance with up to eight 5G internal dual SIM modems, supported by high-efficiency internal antennas.

Benefiting from our successful live 5G broadcasts with leading US, European and APAC cellular providers and the practical knowhow gained from LiveU’s participation in EU 5G collaborative projects, the LU800 includes customized 5G video delivery algorithms and offers full support for 5G network evolution. LiveU’s Reliable Transport (LRT) protocol is now fully optimized to support 5G transmission.

Unlimited Performance

The LU800 delivers the highest-quality video performance, with up to 4Kp60 10-bit HDR transmission for optimal color depth and richness, as well as up to 16 audio channels for high-end productions. Built on LiveU’s patented HEVC bonding technology, the unit reaches up to 70Mbps HEVC live video encoding.
